The Heart of Balaton square / Balaton szíve tér

The unique statue of István Fáskerti is made of red sandstone and it is not only the logo of the city, but also symbolizes the togetherness. Since 2008, hundreds of people hold onto each other and form a heart in the water. If you look through the heart, you can see the Tihany Abbey. Address: Eötvös str.

The Donkey Stone / Szamárkő

This interesting and rare stone block can be found at the western end of Zamárdi, among the hills of the Kiserdő forest. This stone is heavily worn and has an undulated surface; there is also a trough on it that was used as a “fire pit”.

Avar Cemetery / Avar kori temető

The Zamárdi cemetery is one ot the important Transdanubian cemeteries of the early middle ages. The find material, funeral customs, clothing and weaponry displays local, late antique, mediterrain, Germanic and avar roots.
