The Heart of Balaton square / Balaton szíve tér
The unique statue of István Fáskerti is made of red sandstone and it is not only the logo of the city, but also symbolizes the togetherness. This interesting and rare stone block can be found at the western end of Zamárdi, among the hills of the Kiserdő forest. This stone is heavily worn and has an undulated surface; there is also a trough on it that was used as a “fire pit”.
